• Albany medical college is one of the nations oldest private medical school. This institution was founded in 1839 with an initial of only 57 students. 
• This small college only enrolls a small limit of students. Many changes over the years have changed this small college a lot. 
• It is accredited by the commission of higher education.  
• Albany has a medical center, it is the largest non-government employer with approximately 7,000 employees. 
• It contains a health care network that includes 50 hospitals and more than 4,300 physicians enrolled, in it's 25 county service.
