Computer Software Application in Education

Code.org


Code.org is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science to students. Their vision is for students to understand computer science and its importance. Code.org came up with an annual event called "Hour of Code" which was a campaign all around the united states to increase the use of Computer Science. Code.org got major donors for this program to run, these donors were Amazon, Facebook, and Microsoft. It offers courses from K-12 and even expands over to University and more. It has games for children, and lots of categories to learn more and get deeper into coding, and teaches how to make web pages.
